LR4 Printer issue

I have a iMac with 10.8 software and a Canon IP6600D printer.
When I print from LR4 I see it go to the printer, I see the small image then it does nothing. Tried updating software but IMac will not allow the update.
Any thoughts

First, check your print queue to see if you have a list of unfinished jobs. One paused, bad or corrupted job will stop the entire queue. If the first job won't print, delete it.
Why does Mac refuse the update?
UPDATE: Canon does not have a driver update for Mac, only Windows!

Reply to all. For some reason the printer software was set to print odd pages only. Who knows how that got changed. Works fine now. Thanks to all.
