Cleaning lenses

I'm new here and to DSLR photography as well. An stressful moment; I was cleaning my Canon 18-200 IS lens and noticed some fuzz and specks. Couldn't get them off and was really starting to worry. Thinking that Canon is going to sock it to me just to get some fuzz out of my new lens. Then I remembered that I had purchased and installed a Digital UV filter. Unscrewed it, cleaned the inside and all was fine. I'm a happy camper again.

Welcome to the HOG, good to see you are protecting your lens with a UV filter, that's a positive start.

Welcome to UHH. Very good idea to clean both the lens and the inside of the filter prior to installing the filter. Trust me, I have done the same thing myself. :mrgreen:
