So I took the plunge and bought that new nik software. Loaded it into Lightroom 4.3 and everyting is there except the HDR feature. Where could that be hiding?

I am so glad you have asked that question as I am looking into buying this for the HDR alone, unless there are any UHH who can advise what I have to do without buying. I have CS6 and LR4. Thank you

Sounds like an email to the company is in order. That's the first part of the program that they list, so it should have been included.

Check your spam folder. Nik / Google just issued package of plug ins for free to previous owners of Nik software. The HDR plug in is included. Received color effex 4.0 and the HDR along with several others.

Look for "LR Enfuse" on Internet ...it's a donation only open source program that will blend HDR photos...integrates with LR ...works fine for me

Or you can right click on picture then choose export and will see it listed there as well.

HDR Efex Pro 2 is located under File, then Export With Preset

Yes, please do this before calling NIK because it works just like this post and the documentation says.

This is where it should be. All the other NIKs are under "edit in". This one is hidden under "export".

If you have Photoshop Elements, HDR is not intended to work, but the rest in the collection do.

If you are at the very beginning of using NIK or want a quick overview, try:

It's not "hidden", that's the way that application and others like it work.

Why the semantic snark? I was just trying to help the OP. If you would prefer I use the word "placed" rather than "hidden" OK fine. I still think if 5 of the 6 applications are in one spot and you can't find the 6th because its path is another spot then it is hidden. Of course once you find it it's not hidden anymore.

Hidden sounds malicious. The functionality of HDR Effects is similar to PhotoMatix and Proshow and requires it to be launched via the export function.
