I see some tracks going to where he is standing but they don't continue thru. Was there anything in the talons when he left?
Thanks to all of you who view and replied.
To answer and few questions, and explain how I got the shot will become evident. This photo was taken at Farmington Bay, Utah, were eagles gather in the winter. The Division of Wildlife had just dumped some dead carp and so the eagles, and other scavengers were taking advantage of these treats. This bird was just landing when I snapped this shot.
Here are a couple more photos, taken that morning, that shows why the eagles were there.
