Hi everyone,
Will the nik filter work as well as the tiffen filter?

It all depends on what filter you are talking about. A uv filter helps to protect the lens; no nik can do that. I use nik color flex 4 all the time and think they do a great job. However they differ from image to image.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking specifically about a polarizing filter.

If you use the polarizing filter in Nik you can get three different effects normal, medium and strong. Then you can increase or decrease the effect. I use this filter a lot of times.
However I think the best way to do this is to take a shot with your polarizer and then one without and run it through Nik and see what effect you like the best.
One thing about using Nik is that you can save $100 by not buying the filter and two is that you don't have to carry it with you.

I also use the NIK Complete Collection and love it. The NIK filters are great but they can only do so much...the polarizer for example may darken the sky and make clouds pop but will not remove glare from a window for example.

I like the Nik collection as well. However, polarizers and ND filters are the 2 types of filters you cannot really duplicate in software.
