I found a book in my library, which I purchased some years ago. I recommend it for the placing of lighting. It is quite explicit in the type of light and placement of same relative to the subject and camera. It is a how to do it book for the untrained. I recall having used it 35 years ago in portraits and promptly forgot about it. some may find it useful "Lighting for Portraiture" by Walter Nurnberg.

by the way in the event the book is out of print I will copy a good part of it for anyone interested, and mail it to you.
and for a new one, it is really expensive at $245.02 - WOW! A used one is from $55.28, and that isn't exactly cheap! Thanks for the information about the book.
