A big hello to you all. Since the collapse of Jessops here in the UK I am faced with a dilemma. I have just done a photo shoot of my sister in laws wedding, (not the main shooter), however I would like to have a go at putting an album together for my wife as a present. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with online sites that do this. I am looking at the book style with a hardback cover and pictures on the front cover. Also do they do any processing work, such as exposure, prior to print. I am not sure about the process and all help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try PHOTOZINI.COM, They are in California, but I'm sure they will ship to UK. They will respond to your e-mails and are just a pleasure to do business with. You send them the pix and they do all the work (layout, set up, etc.) Reasonable too.

Try this: http://www.cewe-photobook.co.uk/
Cewe is the leader in Europe and I was never disappointed. Delivery is local, so you don't have to pay overseas shipping which cost half the price of an average book.

They have s program for layouting which you download for free. There are plenty of options

Cheers NikonEd I will have a look at that that. It would be handy if they do the work because I have done a little PP in Photoshop but whenever I print at home what I see on my monitor dousnt always match what my printer prints.

Hi JR1, yes I heard that Peter Jones had bought them. I wasn't sure when they were getting up and running again though. Rumour has it they will be opening a shop in London but I thought it was going to be an internet bases only company. I am still waiting to see if they will honour the vouchers my wife bought me for xmas. I will check it out thanks.

Let's hope they have more enthusiastic staff in some shops next time

Personally I prefer London Camera Exchange

When they did used/pre owned I shopped there all the time, as soon as that stopped I stopped.

I always believed that taking part exchange whilst it may not have been a money maker for them was a service as it is with LCE.

I know what you mean. Part ex is a great way of introducing new customers. My nearest camera shop now is in Bolton and they carry very little in stock. If I want to have a look at something they will order it and then I have to go back a week later. That's not really the way I like to shop, but I know what you mean about the enthusiasm of the staff. I must admit whenever I went to Manchester I spoke to a young girl there who was also a wedding photographer and I must admit she was really passionate about photography and helping others. This was unfortunately a minority compared to other staff. If this girl was not in I would go back another day.
