Thank you for looking, and particularly for your kind comment. I very much like to match images with verse and/or quotes that fit.

Thank you for looking. I tend to see God as being the inspiration. . .I merely attempt to find and capture what he has provided.

Carlysue,

You are very kind. And, since you mentioned it, I do have such a book on the back-burner. Currently, I am more focused on getting out of the hospital later today.

Just spent 5 days in ICU letting these fine folks save my worthless life. Now back home and back to work. . .with a very deliberate 6 month plan for getting better.

Ken! I had no idea and I'm glad you found your way to the hospital ICU. Please take care of yourself. Please keep me informed; I'd be happy to encourage you, nag you, pray for you, whatever it takes to keep you on task! (I'm a nurse and there is no nag as bad as a nagging nurse!!)

I went down coming in our backdoor, and was damn lucky that my wife was home to call an ambulance.

Well, let’s see what the last five days in ICU came up with: Congestive Heart Failure; Bilateral Pulmonary Embolisms thrown from a major blood clot in my right leg; On-set of type II diabetes and COPD, to name just a small part of the fun I have been having.

They have me on more meds than I can hardly keep track. Pill, injections, plus oxygen. If everything works well, I should be back to normal in about 6 months. The good news is that I have not smoked since last Wednesday (cold turkey after over 55 years). With the blood thinners I am taking, they tell me no drinking; however, my personal doctor tells me to go ahead and have a nice drink of single malt scotch every now and again. . .in fact he ordered me to pour one when I got home from the hospital this evening (which is in progress).

The good news is that with all of the tests, ultra-sounds, and CT scans. . .everything else seems to be in good working order. In any event, I have had a real adventure the last several days. . .a close call, with what appear to be good results.

Seems you've been given additional time. I trust you'll do the most with it. Congrats on the smoking.

You're in my prayers. I'll pray that you'll stay on track and make a full recovery in record time.

You will love this regarding the smoking. My wife told me today that she gave all of my Camels (most of a carton) to our son. Nothing finer than a mother's love! This young man has had to carry inhalers most of his life. . .I would have put the smokes in the trash before giving them to him, but that's me.
