Thought I would stop by and share some new pics of pieces off my rock pile, hope you see the natural beauty that I see, I used a light box and a Sony point and shoot, and a Nikon D40.
Fluorapatite after Tarbuttite with tiny crystals of Hemimorphite, Skorpian Mine Namibia, 2"
Quartz crystal on a Turquoise matrix from Arizona, 3"
Golden Sphalerite crystals on a bed of micro quartz crystals and Gelena crystals from Bulgaria, 2"
Malachite with Azurite from Arizona, 3"
Double scepter Amethyst on Quartz matrix from Brazil, 1"
And my new grand baby Zinnia!
Mangano Calcite on basalt matrix from South Africa, 3"
Well they certainly are pretty, you seem to have lots of knowledge too. Great photos by the way. Ever find anything of immense value?

Hi James, I found some nice Sapphires in Thailand with nice value but my favorite was from a government auction a 85ct Topaz

Yes it is howie. Back in 1989 we flew down to St Croix in the US Virgin Islands to help rebuild the power lines after hurricane Hugo devastated the island. They flew crews from Massachusets out of Westover Air Force Base.
