These were taken with the 5x microscope objective mounted on 24mm ext tubes on my Nikon D300 at ISO 640, 1/100-sec, aperture unavailable, manual flash, it is easy to over-expose. Cropped & sharpened. I know there is significant noise

Thanks for the comments. The only thing I will try differently is changing the iso.... when I downloaded I noticed I had it set at 640 iso. Annoying oversight on my part.

It's similar to this, only with the 20mm ext tubes and then mounted on my D300. I drilled a body cap and then attached the objective.
