I am an amateur photographer, and I would like to set up a website/blog to showcase my work without spending alot. Is it necessary to get a company to host your website? And what exactly does that do for your site? Any help is appreciated!

NEVER pay someone to do it for you

Check mine out, then click on the link at the bottom, it is simply drag and drop, and ALL inclusive including your choice of web address

You are in hiding.....

Hi,

I have had a photo gallery at BetterPhoto.com for many years now.

Also, I have used imageevent.com for my familiy. $25.00 per year.

They are easy to upload and display. BP.com has a ton of benefits as contests, clubs, courses etc.

Good luck.

Hi JR1, looks interesting. How long have you been using it and is it genuinely free? I just see something for free and wonder why, what do they get out of it! :)

kind regards

Gerry

I use webs.com. The entry level which is free is fine to get started. I have upgraded to the Pro version so as to be able to sell my work. You can view it at www.rodferbrache.com

I have been using fineartamerica. While it is not free it is very reasonable. $30 a year for their premium.
