In the UK it is an EFFECT, stroboscopic, 10-100 or more per second to show/capture "movement"

Here shot at 30 flashes per second triggered remotely with this (well similar)

Remarkable and beautiful. I presume this means the frequency of the wing beat is well over 30 Hz. We don't have that bird on our continent, is it a hummingbird?

Great photograph. I don't completely understand, was this taken with multiple flashes with what we call a strobe in the USA? Forgive me if I am wrong.

Dito to that, I would love to know how JR1 was able to trigger the strobe to fire multiple times for one shot.

Very nice JR! Now are you saying this is a normal Canon flash and it will do that many flashes pre second? Guess I have to dig out the flash manual.:) If you put any more gear on your camera you aren't going to be able to pick it up.:):)
