Love Idaho, and you have done it justice! Great shots!

We've rafted the Salmon a few times, just love it out there!

Well, there is this - to which I can say, and always have said, "What were they thinking?" Contrast with Idaho's, and every other Capitol I've seen. Someone here used the term, "Floriduh." Well, yeah.

I take it that stream doesn't ever flood?
The buildings seem to be right on the edge. Scary!
I like the photos, thanks for sharing.

It (the Salmon River) probably does if there's a monsoon, but they are very rare in the mountains of Idaho. These photos were taken in late June, when the snow melt is just about at its peak, and no flooding was evident.

Thanks to all for your kind comments. These are among my favorites also, especially the one that SQUIL033 correctly identified as being taken from Galena Summit. Good eye, SQ. Good memory. To feed your nostalgia, here's one that shows the headwaters of the Salmon River - the little pond and stream - and the sign that describes it. (First send didn't include the photos. As Rick Perry might say, "Oops.") Here's another stab at it.

Well, durn. Wrong photo. Here's another stab at it. I must be preoccupied about the Florida State game today. Go 'Noles!
