Something to contemplate as we journey on! The wonder and marvels around us we have not seen (undiscovered yet) but wish we could in our time. I wonder if future generations will be traveling among the stars or will they become extinct do to man's inability to find inner peace with himself and peace with his neighbors? Something to contemplate!

Thanks for sharing.

You don't mean they were wrong again?
That's what I like about science.
They say "we were wrong before but we are right now" (my words not theirs)
They keep finding out new things so I wonder what they will discover that they think is impossible now.
Can you imagine the technology that we have now compared to 200 years ago.
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is an 1889 novel by American humorist and writer Mark Twain. A man traveled back in time with the current (1889) technology.
I would like to see a movie about that today.

Don't you think that before the ships got so far from each other that there might have been intership travel?

God has many mysteries that He has not yet reveled to us.

Some of us are tough enough to have "nuts" and then there are others that scoff and scorn because they don't have the innards to accept things are they are.
Many really don't want to commit to anything, and this is the easy way out: No supreme being, so you can't tell me anything about anything, because in the end there is nothing.

Some interesting questions:
Why are we here?
Where do we come from?
What lies after?
Why is mankind? What is his/her purpose? Why be a good citizen? Why believe in anything?
Why are there plants and animals, and valuable minerals etc?
Why don't insects overrun the planet? They outnumber us by far.

If these are not important then why, and what is life? Why help someone learn about photography, why help your fellow beings? Why follow rules? For what reason do we progress and invent?

The nature of man, nature, and science is deeper and more complex than some want to admit. A group of planets and a star (sun) just the right distance away, that just happened to end up where they did after a "non-managed" big explosion of some type that happened for what reason? Why do stars do what they do? Why does science work?

Sorry, but I disagree with the theory of no supreme being. There is too much organization, patterning, and interwoven connections on this earth to just have something happened without rhyme or reason, and with no purpose.

If you ask questions to find the truth you will find the truth. If you just look to prove your point of view than what? It's hard for me to believe that this "just happened" by itself. There is evidence of creation, if you want to look for it. We can not explain everything but they have a "theory" that can not be proved!

I cannot help you with your answers regarding space. I started this thread to illustrate how trivial we are in the grand scheme of the universe. The fact that you cling to superstitions of primitive man suggest that you are unable to accept the facts that we live in random universe. You are like a child asking why....I simply accept the wonder at face value without the need for explanation.

There's evidence for a lot of things including visits by extraterrestrials in ancient times. You may be praying to E.T. for all you know.
