I like both your images, however for me it is your focusing which is letting you down slightly. My guess would be you used auto focus. Is it possible to explain a little about your camera, settings, hand held, or tripod.

It is not easy to advise on images without background info.

If you had ticked the small box next to the browse button we can some times get the EXIF data.

The little box Macro2009 is referring to is the (store original) tick box to the right of where it says, browse.
in the File/picture attachments area. :)
