While teachers say they intervened 71% of the time in bullying incidents, students report that teachers intervened only 25% of the time. Thirty percent of students who say they have been bullied said they sometime had brought weapons to school.

Never thought I would say this, but I am more inclined to believe the students. They are the ones that feel threatened and see much more of what is going on than the teachers. Though I believe some teachers do intervene, I know some personally that would run the other way before they face confrontation.
