My Scope

Hi Photojoe' This is my scope i use a canon 300D by fixing the camera onto the scope.I do use a light pollution filter to keep out the glare of any light' or some times i use a nebula filter which helps me to see the nebula a bit clear.Mark

Thanks. I do love the EQ mounts. Am looking at DOBs now. Maybe a 12 inch.

I never had a look through a 12'' scope.But what i have seen in a shop they are a nice size and i bet the views are cracking through one.Mark

10" - 12" Scopes are very affordable, now. They will provide you with years and years of viewing opportunities, especially under DARK SKIES. Remember, the larger the aperture of the scope, the more light it will take in; thus it will ALSO take in light pollution and lesson the contrast on deep sky objects to the point where they are overwhelmed by the pollution, and a bigger scope won't show them any better (or at all) than a smaller refractor or dob.

Oh well, head for the Country . . . .
