This famous dive destination in Micronesia has attracted my divers. There is a lot of WWII Pacific sea battles in this part of the world. With dive sites named "German Channel" and land tours of Peleliu, one of the more famous battles with the Japanese.
Many islands to dive

More great shots, very nice.
These are gorgeous! I really look forward to your posts---thanks!
Thanks again everyone, thought I'd add a few more to Palau. The first one was taken by a dive buddy, but wanted to show you how strong the currents. We're all hooked in to dead coral blowing in the wind waiting for the sharks to come in. I'm the one on the end of the red rope.

That current looks exhausting. Are the jellyfish there harmless ?
I love seeing your underwater photos!!! allways great!!!
Yes the jellyfish are harmless, somehow over time, they lost their need to sting for protection from predators. It's in inland lake that requires a hike over the mountain to reach. Don't believe there is another place on earth similar to this. "excerpt cut from website"
Jellyfish Lake
An attraction most can only dream of, this daring and unusual phenomena, Jellyfish Lake, departs radically from convention; for it is an enclosed body of water wherein - over the course of a millennia - resident jellyfish have completely lost their sting because they have not had to fight off predators. Instead, they spend their days in privileged leisure, pulsating gently from one side of the lake to the other while catching the sun's rays and farming their own food supply of algae.

Hey thanks Critter hunter, for posting some great shots, I will have to put that dive on my bucket list, love the soaring ray! The current looked like fun, you did the right thing with a tie down, way to go!
You certainly get around. Great shots of the underwater world :)
Another part of the world I probably won't see. Thanks for taking me there in your photos.
Those are great shots and up close and personal. Harmless or not, I don't think I could hang out with the jellyfish. Bad experience. Odd fish but pretty in their own way. :)
Yeah, I been stung by jellies and hydroids and was reluctant to jump in a lake with millions of them, but had to go for it he shot. It was a hike up the mountain pass to the inland lake toting the heavy camera with underwater housing and strobes seen in my personal photo.
