This is an amazing story and well worth a view.
It is, without a doubt, an inspiring example of what can be achieved with proper dedication and the support of people who believe in you.
His condition was caused by the work he did as a soldier and a shame he had to do it on his own.
Doctors may not lie BUT they are not always right in their diagnosis!!

What can you say! Never give up no matter what other people say.
It reminded me of my dad. When he was a young boy 1918-19 era he had a puncture wound from a rusty nail. The infection resulting from it settled in his heel. In those days the only way to save him from dying was to cut the infected area out. It left him with a vee shaped cut 1/2 inch wide at the opening going into his heel about 1 inch. The doctors told him and his parents he would never walk without a limp. He told me that he was determined not to limp. After it healed he had a little wagon that he would put his good foot in and propel himself with the injured foot. When that became bearable he started climbing hills. He told me it was so painful that when he got to the top of a hill the tears would be streaming down his face, but he would go back down and climb the hill again. I never saw that man limp. He did all by himself what the doctors said was impossible. In his last years he developed bone cancer that spread from his prostate being cancerous. The doctors gave him six months. He looked at me and said, " I will die when I am damn good and ready. We buried him 4 !/2 years later. The human spirit properly motivated knows no bounds.
