GPappy Loc: Finally decided to plop down, Clover, S.C.

This fella was about 6 or 7 mm long. I haven't seen one before or since. This shot was taken at my brother-in-laws house in Clover, S.C.
Nikon D70, ISO 200, nifty 50 with 68 mm tubes and 2X converter, 1/60 sec, f10, SB600 speedlight at 1/4 with homemade diffuser. (handheld) Someday I'll get a good 100mm or 105mm prime lens for macro. The nifty 50 is the only prime I have at this time. I've experimented with a lot of different ISO's and lighting. I have a 3/4 O-flash but seem to get better results with the DIY diffuser I made from cardboard. Trying hard to find some jumpers but haven't had a lot of success. I think I have found several wolf spiders but they just move to fast for me. This guy was really slow and just stopped moving when I disturbed him.

The ruby red eyes give it a scarab like look.
