My Wife says I have two big faults.
1. I don't listen.
2. and some other rubbish she was rattling on about...

I've been married for 34 years. For the first twenty five or so my wife kept telling me the same thing. You never listen to me. I tell you things and you screw things up because you don't listen to me. Well, one day I decided to make a special effort to listen...really pay attention to improve our communication (I must have been sick at home or something watching too much daytime TV). At any rate, I made the effort. Not only did I listen, I wrote notes. Lots of notes. After about 2 weeks, we had some issue come up and she said "See, this is because you don't listen to me!" I consulted my notes...and read back to her what she had said (proving I had been listening to her). I then started to look at all of the notes in the context of her actions in the last 2 weeks. Guess what? I found out the problems were coming from her not listening to me! I totally enjoyed pointing out where our communication problems were coming from. My marriage got a lot more comfortable that day!
I hate hear that, We have been married for 25 wonderful years. The first thing I did when we got married I send my wife to China, I hoping to get her after 25 years. Listen
We've been married 45 years. Its seems like yesterday.Time goes by so quickly. To keep a marriage going this long be sure to be a good listener. After all this time you learn how to handle any situation. My wife now insists I need hearing aids.
