What a beautiful culture, we visited during their canoe festival. Yes lots of beetle nut chewed here. Men, women, and children all participate in chewing, remember the movie South Pacific, "Bloody Mary chewing beetle nut ". You can't miss the red teeth.

Thank you, Critter-Hunter, for the shots from Yap. I especially enjoyed your underwater pictures. Are there other underwater shots you can share? I love the beauty of the islands and once dreamed of seeing all of Micronesia. Now, it is too late for me to go, but dreams have long lives. I did spend more than two years in Guam before it "grew" so crowded.
