I pulled up to the house yesterday and saw crows chasing a redtail hawk when I got out of my truck.

Heard the crows calling when I got out of my truck.

Crows often mob red-tails. In fact, that is a good way to find them. If you hear a large mob of crows calling and see them flying around one particular tree, you can be sure that a hawk or even an owl has been discovered and is being harassed. I have seen other small birds harass hawks, especially Kingbirds who will single handedly go after a red-tail and peck it on the back of its head as it chases it away.

Yep ... When you hear lots of crows or RW Blackbirds raising heck start looking around. Many times they are harassing a hawk or an owl.
