Hoping to make some new friends

Hi! I have been receiving the newsletter for some time, I thought it might be time to move forward. I have been shooting for longer than I care to admit. My equipment of choice is Nikon, I currently have a D80. My favorite right now is to shoot at night. Since it's not very safe to go out alone, I don't get out as much I would like. I hope I can measure up to some of the really good shots I have seen here.

Welcome and WOW, nice pictures. I can tell I have a lot to learn looking at your shots. I have been digitized for 3 years now and learning a lot on UHH and from others at work who shoot a lot and for many years. Keep posting as those are magnificent photo's you have there. Thanks for sharing.
I'm afraid to go outside after dark also but it's because its usually 10-20 degrees outside.

Hi Dustie, welcome to the hog. I too love shooting at night. I think your work is excellent. Sharp, nicely exposed, excellent composition. When i was shooting at night, i took another photographer friend with me. When i was shooting, he was watching everywhere around me and him. I did the same for him when he was shooting. Find a friend with the same photographic interests as you, and go out together. Looking forward to seeing more of your work, and being a friend..... Im also from California. Where in Cali are you. Los Angeles area here.

Thank you so much for your positive comments, they really do matter. I was popping through your photos on Flickr, they are really cool. I have been to the June Lake area, though not in the last few years. I think that is my favorite area ever! I really want to go back to Bodie, it is so amazing there. I am in the Sacramento area. It's a good place to try to do night shots, I have gone out at night alone, but not lately. I normally have someone with me, but it's hard to find someone to go with me. There is so much I love about shooting at night.
