Being a Vietnam Vet I HAD to go see this. I will probably not get to the one in DC.
It was raining, as it should have been. The tears of the 58,479 that didn't come home.
Thank you for sharing - my brother also served (2 tours) and thankfully survived physically, but his character had changed. War is insane.
Good set,lot of good men lost there.

Thank you for looking. And thank God your brother came back. I will put "Judi's brother" in my prayers.
Being in the Navy, some of us don't get into the action like your brother probably did. I have just, this past year, getting involved with Veterans issues. I found a Vets website and bot my Vietnam Vet hat. I've had it about 2 months and I kept getting saluted by old men, then I noticed their Vet hat. Old women would come up to me and thank me. I couldn't figure it out, then it hit, and it hit hard.

I think you might want to go back to it. I noticed I posted more pix after your post.
Just to remind y'all. I mentioned it cold and raining. I didn't take close ups of the names because I was afraid I would find someone I knew. I would rather consider them all my brothers and sisters.
The camera was new, I really wasn't aware of some settings and I didn't want the cam ruined by the rain.
I have now taken the date off so it don't show on the pix.
Thanks for your pictures. I saw The Moving Wall when it came through New Jersey in Sept 2004. I just joined VVA..things happened when I came back in '70 so that I didn't talk about it for many years. The VA has changed and are more pro Vietnam vet than ever.
Thank you for your service. And welcome home brother.

Thank you for your service also and welcome home brother.
I like that line, thank you.
I have become much more involved with Veteran issues the past couple of months. Yes, the VA has gotten very good about it. I found VetFriends web site and bought my Vietnam Vet baseball cap and I have been getting thank yous from people I have never known. One old man saluted me and I couldn't figure it out until I remembered seeing his Vietnam Vet baseball cap.
At this website, the VetFriends, I found explanations of Agent Orange. I was diagnosed with Porfyria in 76 and this site listed Porfyria as one disease from AO. I never went to Vietnam, I was in the Navy and never got close to it. But they say you can get infected by someone who had been. It's not a serious diseased more of a nuisance. I guess I should be saying Vietnam Era Vet.
Arnie PMed me about wanting a link to the VetFriends site.
www.VetFriends.comHey Arnie this is a shorter link than what I told you.
Hoping you are getting the treatment you need.
Peace forever.
Jimmy
