I need some help. I'm trying to find a rubber connector cover (side port cover) for a Nikon D50 - Nikon part #1K467-270. I've tried a couple of places on the internet, including Nikon, but no one seems to have one. Any suggestions?

After looking at the parts the one you probably need is the one that is no longer available about the way my luck goes to.

Yeah, it's the story of my life too. The really funny thing about this was that my wife finally has become hooked on shooting, wanted to try my backup camera, and the first time she used it, she somehow knocked off that piece. Oh well, it's the price we pay for adding another photographer to the family.

That's why Rick couldn't repair my 18-105mm. It needed a major part that had to come from Nikon.

I get many camera parts, and all my computer parts on eBay. Have for years. I've been doing computer consulting for many years, and there are plenty of suppliers selling parts.

Have gotten many rubber components and lens bayonet parts from sellers on eBay.

I understand, Jerry. I was operating on the hope that Rick, like so many of us, will obtain parts from non-operation items and store them from repairs. I was once given the task of trying to repair about two dozen Colt 1911A1 45 caliber pistols. I returned the box with 22 operating pistols and a couple of bags of parts from the junkers I had stripped for parts. That lesson taught me well enough that, for several years, I bought or traded for every single piece or non operational junker I found. I was able to build several target grade and combat ready handguns. I think I still have a few old parts in storage. Maybe Rick will have an old used part he scrounged from a ruined camera.
