A four-leaf clover is often considered good luck, but it is also part of an Irish love ritual. In some part, of Ireland, if a woman eats a four-leaf clover while thinking about a man, supposedly, he will fall in love with her. I myself am Irish.
My Dad sat down on the grass one day and said "I am going to look for a 4 leaf clover" and the first one he picked up was a 4 leaf. I have never listened to statisticians ever since!
It is always fun to listen to the legends that grow up around natural phenomena of all sorts. I particularly like the ones about herbs, because a lot of the time they turn out to be based on truth, and science then catches up centuries later.
I'm looking over a four leaf clover, that I've overlooked before! My great uncle John spent a good deal of his time looking over a pub bar and into a pint. Every day was either his birthday or St Patricks Day. His soul is probably still having a drop or two. I hope so!

Why did the leprechaun refuse to iron his four leaf clover?
He didn't want to press his luck.
I know, "groan". My nephew brought that home from school.
Tell your nephew I like that, can learn something ever day.
Tell your nephew we are never to old to learn.
