I'm the one who asked earlier what I am doing
wrong. These are three more.
Please be honest. Am I wasting my time or is there hope
that I can become a GOOD photographer. Yes I do practice and practice. Thanks

I think you're on the right track.
Frankly, these are delightful. They are good work.
What would be wrong is to stop taking photos.
Keep 'em coming.

The are nicely in focus but watch your backgrounds. Backgrounds (and foregrounds) can and will make or break an image. The neighbors house, drive way, truck and trailer make your last two photos snap-shots. Even if you had nice DoF happening, those objects would have killed the shot.
Also don't do selective color, it was a new trend in the 1880's (black and white images were hand painted, which was actually really cool) and a fad in the 1980's. Let it die with mullets and hammer pants... PLEASE.
I really like #1. It has great photographic qualities, it's simple, nice composition, and very captivating.
#2. I, also, am not a big fan of selective color. Every now and then I'll see one that makes an interesting graphic image, but by and large it's just old now.
#3. As stated above, the background can keep your photo stuck in the "snapshot" category. Nice shot, but still just a snapshot.
PLEASE...do not give up taking photos because every single one is not a masterpiece. Gosh, we'd ALL have to "hang it up"! You're doing very well...don't stop!

Background...BG...lots of it. Best looking shot of the 3 is the top one. Even in this edit can see a tv or something back there. Also what lens are you using?

BuffyJean,
Definitely not wasting your time, keep shooting these were Good, But beware of backgrounds, they do tend to detract from what should have been Great Shots :)
