Hi All,

I recently was asked to take portrait shot. I don't feel comfortable doing them but this is the result...the client was thrilled and I happy with the result, my question is....should I be happy with the final product ?

Regards,

If your client is pleased, say "You are welcome", and deposit the check!

You will continue to grow as a photographer. Do not second guess yourself about completed jobs.

I know your correct, the self doubt comes from not being trained formally.

Thanks soooo much !!!

Beautiful... love how your portrait 'pops' and still has such softness. Not very good at discribing photography tech as I am an amateur but hope you get the drift of my approval.

For my personal taste, I love the lighting, pose, perspective, and expression. I find the smoke effect a bit intense(almost structured and not random). But, my view isn’t important. The client who was thrilled with the work is the only important opinion. Continue to be happy. :)

Beautiful shot. Your model looks exactly like someone I grew up with but haven't seen for years and years. Uncanny resemblance.

I like the portrait....if I may ask how did you get the smoke effect?

Quite simply -- this is a beautiful portrait. So well done.
You need no formal training.

Thanks Rick, but your opinion is important !!! .....all opinions are, each one is an assessment of a personal reaction and to become a better photographer you must value and respect all comments, otherwise, don't ask ! Therefore, I thank you and I appreciate your input.

Thank you so much....well I ran it through several filters, so I don't remember exactly but I think it was Photo Effects.
Again, thanks
