Check this out, I bought one and it’s great. I know it isn’t for every shooting situation but for what it is it’s hard to beat. I put my Sigma 50-500mm on it with my D800, no problem. It keeps my horizon level and…well just watch the video.

They are ok but have limitations if you want to add flash you can't, is it as stiff to use as it looks in the video

The reviews it receives are VERY good indeed

JR1; There's no reason you can't use a flash unless you want to turn it completely upside down. No it doesn't have to be that stiff you can control how stiff with the knobs on each side as well as tighten the tension on the panning action as well.

As I said it has exceedingly good reviews

Thanks for the link, Pepper. This is another one that I'm going to have to give a serious look. I like the Price Point.

It appears that JR1 uses a Metz off-camera flash so it might not work for him if he wants to use his flash with the gimbal.

I'm certain from JR1's previous posts that he has several different flashes but you're correct the Metz off-camera wouldn't work with this unit.
