This old house stands in the Kerrs Creek area of Rockbridge County, VA. I took the photo back in 2006 but the house still stands today. My grandfather and his children lived in the house in the early 1940's. My grandmother had died in 1931. This is where my father lived when he met my mother in 1943 and when they were married in 1944.

This photo was tone mapped in Photomatix Pro and a painterly filter added in the same program.
