Does any one use these or any other "archival" disks? Do you know of any accelerated testing on these disks? It would be very convenient if a DVD was a true archival storage for Images.

Here comes the monkey wrench into the gear box.

When I started in computers (saving data) paper tape was the most fantastic storage there was. Then it was punch (punched) cards - fantastic... until magnetic tape came along - Super fantastic. That lasted until a variety of floppy disks came along.... oh wow, fantastic. Then of course they were replaced by CDs and shortly thereafter by DVDs and then shortly thereafter by Blue Ray, and on and on and on.

Do not expect any format for storage to last more than a couple of years. The data on the 'format' will outlive the device used to read or write it. I still have a small collection of paper tapes, a couple punch cards, old floppy disks and a mag tape, for historical reasons. But, try finding a device to read them on. Same applies to your DVD-R.

However, I can't stash my computer in my safe deposit box. If I could load a bunch of images on a media device and know they would not change for the rest of my life and place them in a secure theft and fire proof place in a very small space that would be very handy.

Thanks, are the Delkin's compatible with a standard DVD burner? And do you know how the Verbatim and Delkin or any other "archival" disks compare?
