Saw this young girl tottering along the street on crazy built up shoes and dressed completely in black. I asked her if she would sit for me and here is one of the many pics.. :-)

Just wondering.....what is the normal protocal for asking a stranger for their picture? Do you just offer them a copy of the photo? Do you offer to pay a little? Or do they just volunteer.

I was wondering that myself I always feel a bit awkward in taking pictures of strangers. She's a great model btw very pretty!

Hi KM :)

I have no problem with complimenting a woman or man on their photogenic qualities and asking them politely if they would let me photograph them sometime. I think it is as difficult or easy as we want to make it. If they are embarrassed, I just smile give them my card and tell them to think about it. Usually I get a call back :)
ps: Is that you in your Avatar?, if so I think you are gorgeous, would you sit for me sometime

Aww, you are so sweet for the compliment

I guess I"m just too shy to ask a stanger to sit for me. Though I have seem many who I have considered asking. Faces can be so intriguing.
