It amazes me how many people think that bear cubs are cute and they attempt to feed them.... Mama's not too far away!!
Will have to show this to our grandson and his mom. Caught him petting a fawn last year, he was lucky as the doe didn't return right away.
I think more people have been killed in Yellowstone Park by deer and elk than by grizzlies, don't forget to watch out for the buffalo lying down either.
What was the dog doing off a leash? It was not a rural area.

Interesting that all this was being filmed and all the woman could do was scream stop when the two domestic animals were being attacked by mom deer. I haven't seen a deer yet that understands our language. This also show how over populated the deer are right now as they are staying so close to housing areas. It also speaks a lot to urban growth in our country as well. People are going to have to learn to deal with situations like this more and more.
A good reminder Sarge. Thank you. Something for us photographers too keep in mind too when we want "shoot" bambi.

True, I saw a man get mauled by an elk trying to get a picture of him, "items in your viewfinder are closer than they appear."
Sarge emphasizes that deer are wild animals. Reflecting on this some more, in a similar vein, we should remember that domestic animals can also be dangerous. In particular, we should remember that dogs are descended from wild animals. Just last week a 14 month old boy was mauled to death in our area by a pit bull.
