Great.Didn't have a clue they were around. There is a place over near Sopchoppy,Fl. that all black squirrels exists, I just never had the since to get a shot.
Cool, never even heard of such a critter---neat part of UHH is you get to see shots from around the globe. I have seen totally black squirrels and of course the albino's but never one like this in Mn.........

I've never seen one and never even heard of one which is remarkable because I used to be a Wildlife Officer.

The Sherman's Fox Squirrel is endangered in this area of FL. We are lucky to have lots of them on or around our property. They are about 2' long with a long "foxy" tail; quite comical to watch. Rumor has it that Gen. Sherman saw these guys and dubbed them in honor of his own moniker. True? Who knows!
