Passion vs technical perfection

Here are a couple of videos by wedding photographer Joe Buissink. I know his style may not fit everyone's personality but he talks about following your passion and the money will follow. At $15k - $20k per wedding I would say it works pretty well for him. He is also a pretty good teacher I might add.

You are welcome. Based on your tagline, I suspect your photographic philosophy aligns with Joe's. It makes you wonder how much of the story many photographers miss while they are attempting to get everything right.

That might seem like a lot to pay a wedding photographer, but years later, when the bride and groom are married to different people, they can look back on those photos as money well-spent. :D

After the DIVORCE they'll destroy the photos in anger and the parents are out the thousands of dollars. Spoiled brats don't care.

This was great to watch - I learned a lot from the wedding one which will make my "normal" shooting better. I'm no pro, don't want to be but I just like to take good photos. Will be going to a wedding next month and the wedding clip gave me a lot of better ideas in how to take photos there. Thank you very much for posting this.

There has to be a balance between the technical and artistic side.
