Really? I don't think there's a huge deficit in the Catholic Church. But then again, nobody WANTS the Pope to resign.

They say the next Pope will have to be proficient in taking care of the sex scandals and also the Vatican Finances or be at least able to delegate and follow someone appointed to straighten those areas out.
I made a mistake at a church dinner/dance one night. 4 couples at the table, 2 of which knew me, 1 couple didn't.
When our newest priest walked in, Father Bob, who was quite young, bearded and very handsome, I asked my wife "Hey Betty here's Father Bob, shall we offer him a beer or a boy". The other couple got up to get a soft drink and never came back. This was in the height of sex scandals a couple years ago. My left shin still hurts from my wife getting my attention after that one. But it was ok for the girls to say " Oh.....God really wasted one on this priest" Double standards I guess.

Damn Sarge! Sounds like something I would have said. I started wearing shin guards when out with my now ex-wife. Some people just have no sense of humor. :roll: Did you hear the one about two "pretty boys" that were introduced at a gathering as Neal and Bob? Some drunk asked if that was their names or is that what they do. Now I'm in trouble. :lol:
