This is becoming an obsession.
Great shots. Love the glass crystal designs coming through the liquid.
After a while this subject does tend to pull you in. First time I tried it I ended up shooting over 300 pictures. Thank God for digital. Took a shutter count the other day and have nearly 20k shots. Very good photos of water drops!!
I know what you mean regarding "an obsession"! LOL!
Can you give us the meta data for some of these? I am having a terrible time getting enough light (mostly because I don't have the right flash, etc.) When I get back to Canada in the Spring I will work outside on a calm day...in Texas...there are no calm days! LOL! BTW...before I forget! These a absolutely stunning pictures! Tack on for sharpness and you have used great colors. Just beautiful!

Thank you all for your positive comments. Greatly appreciated.
Cliker2014 if you go to the water drops posting sight(click search. type in water drops)you can scroll through till you find my post from 7D Feb.20/2013.Here you will see my setup and all my camera settings.
Just a little more info for you.No matter if you shoot indoors or outdoors you will need a flash. It is the flash that freezes the drop not the shutter speed. Try your on camera flash its not the best but it will get you started. Dial it down, full flash will blow out the pic. Need any more info drop me a message. Always glad to help.
What created the color differences? PP?

OriginalCyn: There is no PP in these photos at all other than a little added sharpness. In this batch of photos I used food colouring.(blue, green, red ) at different times. Sometimes I use gels in background or as diffusers over the flashes. It all depends on the ambient light which way I go and also what I am trying to achieve.

Thanks I will be going to the sight a.s.a.p.! I do have a Cokin "ring" flash which I don't have a clue how to operate...sigh...but I will go to the sight and see what you have for info and see if I can find help with the flash too..perhaps someone can direct me to a easy to follow tutorial! :-) Just remember... I am getting old!!! ;-) Thanks again and I look forward to checking out the water drops sight! Cheers!

Not sure what 7D used here, but there are many ways to adjust color. If you shoot raw, you can turn it green by increasing the "tint". You can create a couple different shades of blue just by setting your white balance in camera to the wrong setting.

Hi Pigpen: During this particular shoot I used a tray with a design on the bottom with gel sheet underneath. I used a softbox from behind with gel on it. The flash on the right side had a gel diffuser on it.
