I know it usually means a window or branches but I like this and think it works. also, isn't it a bit too washed out looking? Maybe I need to expose a little darker? I added two more options, but something just isn't quite right with them, either! I am becoming discouraged! But I just need to keep studying! I always want to go from A to D without having to hit B and C first and that's why I give up, this time that's not going to happen, I like photography too much and I am willing to do the hard work, thanks again everyone, you are all so kind to help me and again, i really, really appreciate this very much!

framing doesnt have to be trees. yes what you have is framing and a very good and literal example. I love it. It shows creativity and out of the box thinking which i always admire. the exposure is dead on and the use of a white background forces the eye to stay on your subject. For asking really good questions , and applying the advice given and for creative thinking I hereby award you a laRRY THE HEDGEHOG AWARD OF EXCELLANCE.(that and $5 willbuy you a cup of coffe at starbucks) Flickr can give out awards like candy, well I decided to encourage new photographers with my award. And since larry my hedgehog is heavily armed with a thompson smg, he insisted that the award be named after him. congradulations. You will do well in your course, I can sense it for I am a photography jedi. not to mention certifiably a kook.  by the way did anyone tell your model he looks like the actor who plays Dr house on the show house

Don't give up, never give up!!!! I like these shots, but they seem staged and not natural. It is almost like they are forced instead of letting them come to you. I don't know if the image below is exactly framing the shot, but I caught the jaguar in between the branches and took the shot.

I guess you are right, and there is nothing wrong with her photos, and I guess it is outside the box thinking. I guess my problem is, I get half my shots when I least expect it!!!! I never worry about taking a picture, I just take them as they come and take my time doing so, if I miss a shot, I miss a shot, I always feel there will be another chance. :D

I personally like this idea for a photo. I prefer the closeup (third shot) and would like to see it in color. As you probably noticed, when you cropped down to the close up you lost some clarity. Try taking this photo from closer up so that you need to do only a tiny amount of cropping and you will get a clearer photo. When shooting a portrait from a close position a flash usually washes out the photo too much. Use either indirect lighting or natural lighting (indoors or out) that is bright enough to eliminate the need for a flash. If outdoors be careful not to have the sun shining right in the models face as that will cause squinting.

I actually like the second one best because it shows more of his personality with the tattoos, rings and shirt. I also like colors better on the 2nd one, but I have noticed that that seems to be just me and what I like. It seems most others would prefer the first.

WOW! I can not thank you enough! You have restored my faith in myself! I was feeling a little overwhelmed! Thank you for all your kind words and for my Award! What an Honor! You are the best! Thank you Jedi! You take care and I am getting ready to turn in my project as soon as the cord gets shipped in the next few days for my printer. It takes some time to get our evaluations but as soon as I hear back I will let you guys know what happens!
Thank you again!
