There are many areas of gov't waste to cut before doing this. Such as they're spending 55mil for new uniforms for the TSA. Obama spends millions of taxpayers dollars every time he goes golfing. The administration wants to prioritize any cuts to cause the most pain to the taxpayers and blame the republicans and are not interested in efficiency.

The committiee assigned to come up with a budget to come to grips with debt could agree to one,,, The republicans don't want taxes to be raised on the rich and a lot of em want changes to medicare, ss etc... so again they were given time to do something about it in Jan but still they didn't come up with something.... so it was allowed to go into effect that is why you will see the lessening of preceived services...... the rep/tea pukers thought the demo would flinch they didn't. Oh it's both parties got a hand in this..........

The democrats just got the largest tax increase on the rich in history in January. Now they just want to raise taxes again. There is no specific proposal to cut spending at all, just generalizations. It's impossible to spend ones way out of a deficit.
