Iced Cardinals

It was freezing rain this day and I put out extra seed. The cardinals came in I noticed there tails were getting coated with ice. It did't seem to bother there flying . I took these through my dining room french doors.

Thanks for looking Lacey. I kept checking all day to see if any got bogged down but they all made it ok.

Thanks for taking the time to look. I thought the ice might hamper there flying but it did not seem to do so.

Thanks for looking .Here is another from that day which probably shows the tail icing better. It is not quite in focus. But hey it shows the problem they have to contend with.
