HI im trying to track down some thing i saw i belive in Links and Resources. Maybe a few weeks ago can't remember. I'm looking for a defuser that slides on the hotshoe of the dslr BUT will allow off shoe flashes to go off and not see the effect of the on camera popup flash . Im shooting into glass tanks with the SB800s off to the side.

ANYBOBY know what I am looking for I can't remember the model number of the item.I looked for it in Nikon but not there it's aftermarket. Thanks . thumbup:

Sure do, it's included with the R1C1 Nikon flash unit.

Nikon SG-31R IR panel for built in flash.

$25 plus shipping on e-bay. There has to be a cheaper way, it's a piece of plastic! Adorama has it for $12.

It just might be the least expensive accessory Nikon makes.

Mine have always been hard to remove from the camera shoe.
Photo Dan, do you have any experience with that?

Haven't used it because the system I have has the commander unit (R1C1).

I love mine but usually leave it at home for scout camp-outs.

Love your work BTW.
Really nice stuff!

Yes, the SU-800. What a great control unit.

I'm about a half century away from scout outings.
