Follow up To 42nd Street Photo

I have been looking to buy a Canon 7D camera for quite some
time now. I checked as many times and at as many online
sales places as I could find. I found one New from 42nd Street
Photo for $999.00 no shipping. This was a minimum of a 300.00
dollar savings but I knew nothing of the company so after reading lots of customer reviews I then asked the fine folks here if they had used them. They recommended them so I ordered one, I had a couple of responses that said I would be plagued with pushy sales people or calls to sale me other items. I am happy to say I have not had any yet.
I received my 7D today, JUST like they said, with a free Lens cleaning kit. It was shipped on time and was OK when I received it.
Yes I would recommend them and will use them again if they
have the better price. P.S I had over 2K views on my post and
24 comments. I thank all of you for your help and advice.

Thanks, I ordered my memory the same day different site and
it won't get here until tomorrow. I have the battery charged
and have been snapping pictures with no card but I can see
that it is going to be great with my 24-105 L.
My Grandfather once told me that if it has Boobs or Wheels on it, it's gonna cost you. I don't think he ever bought a camera. :thumbup: mdh

Glad it has worked out for you. (I will never order anything again from 42nd Street...my experience was not as good as yours).

Great question. I have a hard time believing anyone sells a new Canon or Nikon for $300 less than everyone else. These manufacturers protect their pricing and if a retailer steps out of line they risk losing their certified retailer status and will have problems getting additional product to sell.

I don't see where anyone said you didn't get what you got at the price you said. If you were pointing that remark in my direction go back and read what I wrote again. My comments were about the manufacturers and retailers- nothing was said about the buyers. It appears you got a good deal and I believe everyone is happy for you. Did you check what GrahamS asked?
