Is it going to be the "Biden Defense" when a woman shoots through the door and kills the postman or when a woman shoots into the air to scare the burglar off and the falling pellets kill a neighbor child? After all they were only following the Vice President's advice!!

Pretty Funny... A guy actually got arrested the other day when his apartment was being burglarized he discharged a shotgun to scare away the intruder, apparently that did not go over so well with the cops...

Ol' Joe is a stupid, stupid man... and he wants to be our next president!

Joe's advice to shoot through the door was absolutely ignorant and irresponsible. Interestingly, even those of the liberal persuasion seldom extoll the virtues of JB. Could be a racial bias?

Personally, I think the shotgun is the best for home defense. Afterall, you don't need good aim, the noise alone will be a deterrent, its easy to operate and can be devastatingly deadly.

The AR-15 is a bit more complicated to operate, the round is small and fast, makes a single wound which requires a good aim and more ammo. At close range might not be the best choice.

The sound of jacking a shell into the chamber of a pump action shotgun is so distinctive that it alone may be all that is needed. :D

Once when I was contemplating a handgun purchase the sales clerk pointed out the same thing. It is a VERY distinctive sound.

That actually happened in Baltimore last fall - not a shotgun pellet but a bullet

I used to shoot a lot of skeet... was on the base skeet team while in the service. And, I can report that the shotgun pellets lose a lot of their velocity in a very short distance. So, effective range is actually pretty short... 40-60 yds for bird shot.

Not so with a rifle projectile, especially those from the AR-15 and similar. They are very high velocity and can kill at great distances... 500-600 yds or more.

Have you ever seen the bone damage from a high velocity AR-15/AR-16 shell passing through flesh? The ENTRY hole IS quite small but the EXIT hole is massive.

The tape is stupid!

There was no training in how to hold the weapon. Anyone of these ladies would have done just fine with some training.

BTW Biden is right a shotgun is the best home defense weapon. Until you have heard the kaching of a shell being loaded you don't know what fear is!

BTW I am for getting semiautomatic AR15 type weapons banned, and extended clips, and background checks for all sales.

Yep... just rack a round into the old 12 ga pump... everyone knows that sound!! And, at close range, its deadly. Just anywhere on the body will do to knock 'em down.
