Hi Folks,
I intend to road trip thru Northern Florida from Jacksonville west to Pensacola and then loop back.
I would appreciate anyone letting me know interesting places to visit or photograph. My interests are many and varied and I like to photograph all subjects. Also, any good fishing spots (fresh or salt) you could tell me about or unusual places to stay would be great.
The trip will most likely be in April and most of the time will be spent in the Panhandle. Thanks in advance.

St. Augustine, near Jacksonville, is a good spot. Then there's Panama City Beach, Pensacola has the Naval Aviation History Museum (be sure to see the Forrestal display). Also Pensacola is real close to Mobile Bay.

Thanks Mac, I have been to St. Augustine which is a fantastic place. I will definitely check out the beach in Panama City and perhaps the museum in Pensacola.

No problem. Its been awhile since I went out there but should be at least some good beach pics and old stuff at the fort
Definitely the air museum at Pensacola. By the way, sharks are on the east coast.
I live in the Jacksonville,Fl. area and have made that trip many times in the past.
I suggest that you turn south in Tallahassee to pick up Highway 98 to Pensacola,Fl. By going that way you will drive thru more interesting places than using I-10. Check the Florida map.

Lots and lots of guidebooks on touring Florida. Bookstore or library are great places to consult. Even great fishing guides available.
google state parks florida there are many with great photo ops. there is one right outside of tallassee that has the largest fresh water spring i think in the us. they have a glass bottom boat tour of it. go a little further to mobile and see the uss alabama.

Wakullah Springs and St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge is a nice place. You can see the Manatee's up close and personal....take a boat trip up the river and see birds, alligators, etc...it's s. of Tallahassee...as already suggested take the Hwy 98 route west to Panama City and Pensacola. There are several lighthouses on the way..If you haven't seen the Naval Aviation Museum lately you should go. There is also a lighthouse there on base across from the Museum. Seville Quarter in Pensacola is full of history, as are the forts on the Navy base. Good photo opps there, as there is enough light inside for good shooting....While in Pensacola eat at McQuires Irish Pub.
Have fun

Will do, thanks. I prefer driving off the main highways when I can. 8-)
