George Ryan is no longer governor; he is in the big house. Of course he was replaced by Rod Blagojevich who is...that's right, also in the big house. And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned recently. That’s because he is fighting being sent to…right again, the big house!

I believe that most major urban areas are solidly in the hands of the Democratic Party, and follow a permissive rehabilitative strategy when it comes to crime and crime prevention. That, and the demographics of the urban areas, is my take on New Orleans and it's high homicide rate. Simply my opinion. 8-)

A little update for you on the political front. Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife, Alderman Sandi Jackson both pleaded guilty to misuse of campaign funds recently in Federal Court. Sentencing is set for late June. George Ryan, former Gov. and Sec of State that had his minions sell drivers licenses to trucker that killed 6 children, was recently released from Club Fed in Terre Haute and ordered to home confinement. Other investigations into ongoing corruption in City Hall and the State house continue.

I thought you might like to know!!
