Man is absolutely the cause of global warming

At the time I took this photo, March 6, 2013 at approximately 13:25, the national weather service was indicating the following:

1. I was standing in 3 to 6 inches of heavy snow.
2. It was still snowing.
3. It would continue to snow for the next 12 to 14 hours.
4. I will be standing in up to 10" of snow when it is all over.

This is part of the same group that tells me that man is absolutely the cause of global warming.

I must say that I am confused! The kid down the street that studies weather and climate as a very serious hobby told me that it wasn't snowing after he looked out the window. Who should I believe? The government that does everything better or the amateur private citizen?

Let me save some of you guys some trouble: you have already told me I am stupid, ignorant, moronic and all of the other cute descriptive phrases you have. I will agree that at any moment I can live up to your description. This post is written with least 50% sarcasm.

climate change or severe weather is a much more accurate term.

it may well turn out that global warming is a natural occurance.what we need to worry about are the things people are doing to screw up things.when we cut loose the sky is the limit. two examples.
1 sadan hussein drained millions of acres of marsh lands just to dislocate people he didn't like. now they are still trying to reclaim the land.
2 coca cola opened a plant in india and is sucking up all the ground water, thousands of farmers are loosing thier well water.
there are hundreds of other examples to choose from.

The planet has had a number of mini ice ages and thaws.

Why they suddenly think we are the cause of weather change is beyond me.

I think it's all an excuse to raise taxes.

I have read reports that state that volcanoes are a greater cause of global warming than man. Also, various animal (not including man). I do rather believe that man(kind) has had an effect on the environment. I have even wondered what the effect concentrating concrete in small areas has on the planet. But I also believe that drawing conclusions from a science that relies on 100,000's of years from data that collected over less than 100 years is fallacious, despite the incredible genius of Al Gore, the inventor of the internet. Man, I do tend toward run-on sentences!

Right on RJM !. Once again we're stuffed by the politicians. Weather is cyclical over periods of time, "green taxes" are yet another way the politicos have devised to rob us on a continuous basis

Yes, politicians can be quite ingenius when it comes to raising money for taxes to cover what they've spent and wasted!

They had a window tax once!

The recent tax on pension funds has caused final salary schemes to close down which in turn has caused more strain on the public purse. We pay billions to Europe so that MEP's can fiddle expenses and waste millions.

The politicians are elected to serve us but, in reality, only serve themselves. They know most UK citizens want out of Europe so they won't give us a referendum!!!

Most cars are now becoming Co2 efficient which means less is being collected in road fund tax..........so it won't be too long that they devise a tax for these cars!

Did you know that if you use water as a 'fuel' you have to pay tax on it?

They want tax on everything. They will tax air if your car can run on it!

There is NO Global Warming.

Prof David Bellamy gave his reason why man is not the cause of Global warming and the government leaned on the BBC to stop him being aired. That's why he's no longer seen on tv!

You can have an opinion as long as it's the same one as those who rule your country!

Not to mention the really, really BIG ICE age we had only ~ 15 thousand years ago.

Thank God for the Neanderthals and our American Indians.
Without the pollution caused by their campfires , the Northern Hemisphere would still be covered in a mile thick sheet of ice. Lol

I still think it's all caused by bovine flatulence - and hippo flatulence, and rhino flatulence and elephant flatulence.
