Just got back a couple of days ago from spending a week in Long Boat Key/Sarasota which is a fantastic place to visit for Bird Photography. Most of the images were taken at Quick Point Nature Preserve in Long Boat Key. Enjoy.
I should add that all of these shots were taken handheld with my Canon EOS 7D and 100-400mm f/4L zoom lens
Male Bald Eagle Coming in to Nest
Brown Pelican
Great Blue Heron bringing a stick to its nest
Osprey with Prey
Another view of the same Osprey
Brown Pelican Taking Off
Just after take off
Another Great Blue Heron
King Fisher... only reason why I was able to even get this shot is because he was hovering
This is a Little Blue Heron... I like to call this "Do a Little Dance"

You have some nice shots there, especially the last one which is a Tri-colored Heron, not a little blue.
Thanks for posting!
Thanks so much! I am so excited to learn that this is a Tri Colored Heron! That is so cool... I went through my images and realized I have photos of both! Very exciting news.
