I was a Wilderness Ranger with the Forest Service for 5 years and found that the Sierras are totally inspiring. Three distinct seasons. I love the snow and I'm close to a ski resort, plus hundreds of acres and trails to back country ski, snowshoe or hike.
Spring brings thundering waterfalls, hundreds of beautiful wildflowers and wildlife.
Summer is hiking season and thunderstorms as well as fire season.
Fall is the changing of the colors and spawning fish in their cycle of life.
History also abounds. There is always a story around every bend.
My Nikon loves the Sierras
