Went back over for a few minutes this morning to see what I could get in the way of shots. Shot these through the window of my truck. I used it as a blind and the eagles seemed to act more naturally.
Whisper sweet nothings!
Then scream like an eagle!
Then bring her a duck!
Lunch is served!
A little wall repair!
Then go get yourself something to eat!
Hey Dave, those shots with prey in talons are absolutely amazing! You are always in the right place at the right time! Can you share location of this nest?
What a great set. I think staying in the truck might have been a stoke of genius.

Great set Dave!!! Loved them all!
Amazing shots, what setup are you using and how far away are you to get them so clear if you don't mind saying what equipement you are using? Are you croping and how much?
I used a Canon 7D with a 300MM F4 IS lens and a 1.4 extender. I drive up close to the nest and stay inside. Very little cropping on most but the on the last one it was about 50%.

One of the best series of Bald Eagle shots (or any bird shot in fact) that I've ever seen. Great story, well captured.
